Vor dem Austausch eines Bauteils der elektrischen Anlage und vor der Durchführung von Reparaturarbeiten an der elektrischen Anlage unbedingt zuerst das Minuskabel (-) von der Batterie abklemmen, um Schäden durch Kurzschluss zu vermeiden.
MASSNAHMEN NACH DEM ABKLEMMEN DES BATTERIEPOLS
Bei Fahrzeugen mit ASTC wird beim Abklemmen des Batteriepols die Neutralstellung nicht im Lenkradsensor gespeichert. Daher nach jedem Abklemmen des Batteriepols unbedingt die Neutralstellung des Lenkradsensors anlernen. (Siehe .)

SERVICING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
caution Before connecting or disconnecting the negative (-) cable, be sure to turn off the ignition switch and the lighting switch (If this is not done, there is the possibility of semiconductor parts being damaged).
Before replacing a component related to the electrical system and before undertaking any repair procedures involving the electrical system, be sure to first disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery in order to avoid damage caused by short-circuiting.
MEASURES TO BE TAKEN AFTER REMOVING THE BATTERY TERMINAL
caution When the battery is removed, the learned neutral point of steering wheel sensor is erased. Then the ASC OFF indicator is lit, and the diagnosis code No. 83 is set.
For vehicles with ASTC, if the battery terminal is removed, the neutral position would not be stored in the steering wheel sensor. Therefore, always perform the steering wheel sensor neutral position learning when the battery terminal is removed.(Refer to .)
